Woods Narrowly Misses at Short Track Nationals
One of the largest races of the season for
mini sprints is the annual Short Track Nationals held in New York.
This year competition was fierce as top competitors from several
states and Canada joined the action. FOZ mini sprint mounted
Richie Woods put on a spectacular showing only to be sidelined in the
end with an ailing motor. On Friday evening Woods cruised to a
heat race victory. For the main event on Saturday evening Woods
started on the front row next to Rick Hench. Right from the
start Woods jumped out the a convincing lead which he would hold until
lap 19 when his engine began going south. Congratulations to
Richie Woods on a great run in the Short Track Nationals.
