Hamilton, OH—October 23rd, 2005—It's hard to believe that the 2005 season is winding to a close. It is even more amazing that it is time to start thinking about the 2006 season. We really enjoyed our fist full season of racing in the FOZ mini sprint. It has performed well on-track and has received tremendous attention off-the-track. Two recent converts are already singing the praises of the FOZ mini sprint. 13 Year old Jake Cook drove a FOZ mini sprint from 18th starting position to 3rd place in the feature event at famed Lawrenceburg Speedway in his first time in the car--an impressive finish coming during the annual Fun Fest which drew 36 mini sprints. Ritchie Wood escorted his FOZ mini sprint from the tail of his heat race for a win in his first outing, before the entire event was canceled due to rain.
We recently updated information on our standard roller package. Although we don't like calling it a standard roller because of the quality and level of components included; it does provide a point of comparison. Starting with the key ingredient, a chassis designed and built by famed car builder John Godfrey in his Spike Chassis facility, there are many additional items that set the car apart from the competition:
-Midget quality front axle
and components (spindles, kingpins, direct mount hubs)
-2 inch anodized splined rear axle with 2 complete sets of spacers
-Aluminum billet, purpose designed birdcages with a double row bearing on
the right side
-Complete billet quick change sprocket assembly
-Aluminum motor plate and mount for simplified mounting of most makes of
engines
-Weld Racing Wheels
The fact is that quality components and pieces are used throughout the FOZ. We've even had many drivers upgrade their existing chassis with FOZ components because they like them so well. In addition to the items found in the standard roller, we carry every part imaginable for mini sprints.
